Yelp, Inc. is a social networking, user review, and local search web site. The link to this site is www.yelp.com. It can be useful in a business setting if you are a traveler to help you with some the hot spots in the town you will be visiting. I don’t see it being useful to students and it is one that I would not use on a regular.

Slide is similar to powerpoint. It allows you to create a slideshows. Slide is the world's leading community-driven entertainment company. It offer millions of people worldwide the ability to communicate, engage and have fun with one another within the context of relationships they build on social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace. The link to this site is www.slide.com. It can be a great tool in the business world, and great for students to create great slideshows. It is overall something different and great to use other than powerpoint.

Google Finance

Google Finance is a website launched on March 21, 2006 by Google. The service features business and enterprise headlines for many corporations including their financial decisions and major news events. Stock information is available, as are Adobe Flash-based stock price charts. The site also aggregates Google News and Google Blog Search articles about each corporation, though links are not screened and often deemed untrustworthy. The link to this website is www.finance.google.com. In a business setting this is a great tool especially for investors. I don’t see it being useful to a student unless they are investing in stocks. Overall it can be a great tool, but one I don’t see myself using right now.

Google Translate is a free statistically-based machine translation service provided by Google Inc. to translate a section of text, document or webpage, into another language. The link to this site is www.translate.google.com. Google translate can be utilized in conjunction with a Microsoft Office document. It would be great for a presentation in a class where a different language is being taught. In a business setting this would also be great, because we deal with all types of cultures and people from all over the world. My overall opinion of google translation is that it is a great website. It can be very useful to students and people in the business world.

Newseum is a site where you can view all sorts of newspapers from all over the world. The link to this site is www.newseum.org. Newseum can be used in a presentation to look up different news articles.

TopSite

TopSite is a site where you can find the top websites regarding your interests.The link to this site is www.topsite.com. Topsite can be used in presentations because you can find almost anything that you will need to discuss at this site and it would be easy to present. I think this is a great tool.

The website to Skype is www.skype.com. In a business setting you can use this tool to collaborate, communicate and work smarter with Skype’s new video conferencing tool. It can also be used for a powerpoint presentation where you can share a presentation from anywhere. Overall this is a great communication tool that can be used anywhere, my children love it. They use it to talk to distance friends.
